Asmita Bharati has an excellent and proven digital film and broadcast project management skills within a VFX facility as well as Independently. She is currently the VFX Producer - India for Andrew Niccol's "THE HOST" and Dr Kamal Haasan’s "Vishwaroopam". Previously, Asmita was the head of the visual effects production in Geon Studios. At GEON, she has proved her efficient handling of projects having worked with 20th Century Fox for Gulliver’s Travels, Weta Workshop, Relativity Media for The Warrior’s Way and many more Indian and international clients. She has also been expanding her expertise in handling 3D stereographic conversion projects, working on some sequences of Harry Potter, Priest and Ghostrider.
Asmita’s strong sense of understanding in CG and 2D compositing has enabled her to meet the client requirements on time and within budget. She updates herself with what can be achieved using the top notch software packages so as to work effectively with her team of artist.
Experienced in running the productions and refinement of production pipeline, Asmita has been leading the project management teams and measuring results for these areas.
She started her career as a journalist for The Times of India and subsequently inclined her interest to AnimationXpress.com which was also closer to her passion. In fact it has indeed facilitated her for being an excellent communicator and also her organizing and motivation skills.
She was awarded for the best woman journalist in the year 1999 by Nashik District journalist association for outstanding contributions and publication of Nashik Times.
